The cover picture is off a crack in my windshield that started out as a little star in my window from a rock kicked up by a truck on my way to Wisconsin in May. I turned it into my insurance company and they connected me with a auto glass company. I talked to them twice, they told me the part was special order and they would call me when it came in. Well, ten weeks went by so i called them up and they said they would give me a date in 24 hours. 72 hours later, I called again and this time was told they couldn't get the windshield and they wouldn't be able to do the repair. By this time the crack had grown, coming up straight and first then diving off to the right and then down. Then a second crack (Not pictured) came out to the right low and the two cracks were about two inches from connecting at this point. So I started over with the insurance company and they set me up with another vendor who this time was able to get the windshield for me and get it installed in less than three weeks. Not too bad after the first vendor's performance. But man, the price! It was shocking. Take a look.
Made me glad I used insurance, and it only cost me $200, but wow, this is expensive. And Caliber treated me very well, they paid for my ride home and back to pick up the car and were pleasant and responsive to my needs. I am not slagging them for the cost, just noting it was much higher than I would have guessed.
