I made it to Southern California and landed and Chris and Sonia Avetisian. Chris is a friend I made when I arrived at the LA Times in 2000. And have remained good friends with him . since then. He and his wife made me feel so welcome it was ridicules. Sonia washed my clothes and both her and Chris went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I had great time with them and will post more on the stay in other posts. On the first day I got here, Wednesday, we went down to to beach in Laguna Nigel and watched the sunset. It was nice and relaxing. Then we returned to the house and watched the Clippers lose a game.
