The Best laid plans.........

Don't survive contact with reality. I took the bike out for a shakedown run before I left of about 25 miles. All was good until we were returning home about a mile away from it, the rear brake on on the bike locked up and brought me to a sudden (and safe) stop. I messed around with it and was able to get the brake to release. But at that point, was no longer comfortable launching a 3,000 mile trip with an iffy bike. So back up plans were put into action. I am riding my bike. So I made to war torn Corpus Christie, Texas (I mean wow, this town is in bad shape) I am staying in a former crack house now a water front hotel.
