Woke up at 1am again with excess Saliva and not able to breath.

Writer: Russ NewtonRuss Newton

I woke up slowly as I had a ridiculous amount of saliva in my mouth. Then I started to cough. This was the same pattern the last time this happened. But this time I was able to stop it immediately. I stood up and took a big inhale through my nose and that reset the connection to the nerve controlling the flap of cartilage that was blocking my airway to protect my lungs from the excess saliva. But I still have to figure out how to stop the excess saliva. I am taking three medications to control it and they only work sporadically. But good news, I was able to fall back to sleep and slept fine until 7am.
